Exotic Vet Medicine at MetroPet

Congratulations, you have taken the first step towards optimal health for your exotic pet, finding an exotic vet that you can trust! MetroPet has been an exotic vet for years, and loves to treat the tiny, scaly, spiny or spiky! We treat a wide variety of exotic animals, including mini pigs, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, turtles, tortoises, snakes, lizards, and other small mammals (pocket pets).

Exotic pets need special care, treatments, medicines, and equipment. Not every vet understands this or has the needed supplies. Always ask the right questions to find out how comfortable your exotic vet is with treating exotics before trusting your pet to them.  MetroPet has invested in the equipment and expertise to handle exotic pets.  Come in and see why so many exotic pet owners trust us.

Dr. Alice has been working with exotic pets since she graduated from OSU in 2007, and has become a trusted name in the exotic community. She is a member of both the Association of Exotic Mammalian Veterinarians and the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and regularly attends continuing education. This keeps her at the forefront of exotic medicine. She is trusted as the exotic vet for several rescues, including Healing Hearts Ferret Rescue.

We can handle exotic dental treatment, nutritional disorders, proper care consultations, wing/nail/beak/hoof trims, routine and emergency surgery.  We perform both preventative medicine and some emergency treatments. Call us today to find out how we can help you.
